Monday , 25 January 2010- In the morning at the school hall, Mr Ramesh talked about Total Defence and he wanted us to answer a few questions . I will answer these questions in my next post. Later on that day, we soon got to know that Mdm Sng and Mdm Yeo had to go on course fro the next three days and I have a feeling that there is going to be a LOT of homework...
Tuesday, 26 January 2010- That day we had our health checkup and the nurses said that I had to get a new pair of spectacles. In the next part of the health check up, we had to open our tops! I know, ewww, right? Whatever, at least the nurses are WOMEN. We had to open our tops so that they can check our backbone. The nurse said that my backbone was the same as last year which had tested... I don't know but I know that I passed!
Wednesday- Mdm Yeo and Mdm Sng did not come today so again, we just needed to do our work given by them. Everything is boring without your teachers giving you lessons! Hmm... the rest of the day went on as usual! :p

Monday 18 January 2010- The start of the week is always the day that everyone is in a bad mood. Perhaps, it is because the weekends are over and tends to forget a lot of things . :D I also sometimes get kind of sad because I can't spend my time with my family longer. ):. I also feel happy at the same time because I can meet my friends! Anyways , Mdm Lim talked about the things things that I posted on my previous post. I needed to reflect on those things and put it up on this blog. For art, we needed to do the Google logo for the main page for singaporeans. I had my idea once I heard the theme is My Singapore , I think...maybe.( is it my singapore?? hehe!! I always forget this kind of themes! If you know what theme it is please comment!) . We had our first mother tongue remedial that day.
Tuesday 19 January 2010-That day,Mdm Sng wanted us to reflect on the reading material and I did that on the previous post.P.E was just learing the techniques of playing badminton. I learnt the different techniques for playing baminton and think that I am kind of good at it.when i hit it theres like sound coming from nowhere. The rest of the day is the simple learning and homework.
Wednesday- That day Mdm Sng did not enter Maths class because of an important meeting with Mdm Lim.Everything went as per normal except for Science class because that day Mr Chua did not come for Science class . There was a bee in the class when there was no teacher around and almost everybody screamed but that thing is just the size of my thumb and we are this big!
Thursday 21 January 2010- Assembly was kind of fun. It was from the Science Centre. Those who have not gone there, you better because a lot of information can be found there and you can be more familiar with most of the stuff once you are asked a question.It is because the experiments that are done there are very fun to watch or maybe even more fun when you do it yourself and you tend to remember it easily. Anyways, we watched the balloon experiments and gained some knowledge about balloons. Unfortunately , one experiment was called off because the 'big super balloon' bursted, :p
Friday 22 January 2010- P.E was much fun than on Tuesday's P.E. We used balloons as shuttlecocks for badminton . It is because the balloon moves at a slower speed than the normal shuttlecock. Lessons went on as per normal that day . We had our first structured programme that day . Mdm Yeo actually booked the computer lab but a class went in the computer lab ,so we did not get the cool air conditioner. I don't object to Mdm Yeo's decision and I think the fact that we did not need the computer lab and assumed that the other class needed it more than us.

Hi everyone! In this post I will talk about the things that Mdm Lim (Principal) and Mdm Sng (Teacher) had said.
They are not in order . They do not need to be so sequenced, right?
Reflection on 19 January reading materials
I think that anyone should at least have one person to talk to or to share their problems with. I also think that the patient is just letting all the sadness out by telling the doctor. That, to me, is a good way to let your emotions out. I think the doctor is very compassionate to lend an ear and to spend her time listening to the patient's story.
Why do we read the reading materials?
We read the reading materials so that we can improve in our vocabulary and can understand the words in a snap. We also can learn from some mistakes or good deeds others made in the story given. So that we can also learn from the morals.
Why do we have story telling?
Audience- So that we can give our full attention to the story teller on stage.
Story teller- So that we can build self- confidence and project our voices to catch others' attention.
Why is English important?
English is important because we use this language everyday to communicate with our friends or to the public
Why is English our first language?
We use English as our first language because it is our common language that is used in almost the whole world. It is to interact with others from other countries so that we do not have to learn their language just because we want to interact with them.
Road safety
We should use the overhead bridge instead of jay-walking.( is there a hyfen? is hyfen spelled correctly?) Jay-walking is a 'no-no'. I am serious. You can get hit by a car because you jay-walked. ( is there such word?) There might be a chance. We should raise pur hands when crossing the road using the traffic light or zebra crossing. There are three forms of crossing the road ... ( is it three??) Zebra crossing, traffic light, overhead bridge.You all better use either one of them when crossing roads, even if you think it is very far.

Today's assembly talk on Responsibility in WORDS and DEEDS.
Today, Mrs Dhillon talked about responsibility in words and deeds.
Responsibility in words means that you have to keep your words to your family, friends and teachers etc. We should also should tell the truth and never tell lies.Responsibility in deeds can be shown to family, school and to the public. You can show responsibility in deeds to your family by doing chores . We can show responsibility in deeds to the school by not vandalising the school property and dressing properly to school everyday. We show responsibility in deeds to the public by setting a good example to be a role model.
What is graciousness?
Graciousness means that him / her has to be pleasently kind, benevolent , compassionate and courteous.Him /her also has to be characterized by good taste. We also have to listen to our peers whenever they talk to be gracious audience.
Why is it important for the society to embrace the value of graciousness?
It is important to embrace the value of graciousness for the public so that public places in Singapore will not have a bad behavior.For example, someone in a market wants to buy a fish and talks to the seller rudely and the seller will take rudely back, and everyone in the market will make a fuss over their arguement and the whole market will be VERY noisy.

Stories
This morning I was at Marine Terrace Hawker center. After my breakfast I walked around taking in the surrounding that was my old haunt.
There was a busker. He looked hale and hearty.
I turned around and saw an elderly couple treading their way slowly. The man was in pyjamas. Both looked poor, almost destitute. They walked towards the busker. They stopped and took out $2 note from a purse. They dropped that into the busker's collection box. They looked more in need of the money than the busker, yet they gave. Then they shuffled on their way.- Peter
It was a rainy morning. I was rushing to work but unfortunately, I did not bring along an umbrella. As a result, I was stuck at the bus stop for quite a while. Then a lorry stopped in front of the bus stop. As I looked up, I saw that the vehicle was dirty and loaded with unsightly cleaning equipment such as rubbish bins and brooms. However, the driver opened the window and asked where I was heading. After I told him, he said he was also going the same way and offered to ferry me there! As I was running late, I accepted his offer with much thanks. On the way there, I chatted with him and discovered that the friendly driver was a cleaner, but he was very helpful.
When I got to my workplace, he even offered me an umbrella. I am most grateful for all his kind gestures.- Edwin Tan

Monday- The whole class and even Mdm Yeo was in a bad mood that day... maybe it was because we got scolded and for Mdm Yeo to have been scolding us... some of us , actually... luckily I brought the things ready for that day... I just hope that I will not get scolded by Mdm Yeo... I think it was scoldings or was it just dissapointment... i don't know...I just felt like wanting to cheer everyone up that day
Tuesday- Things went well on Tuesday, I would say... Everything went on as per normal... Normal lessons... Homework... Except for P.E.!! We played One leg with another class... Our team will not say always but usually win...

Wednesday- It was still the same average school day...Our group dicussed about the things that we needed to do and bring on Friday , which is tomorrow... for the Science board...We are doing on nature, water and the solar system...
Thursday- It was a really dissapointing day ...During assembly, the prefects did the Prefects Investeture. That , I think, is kind of a good way to start the day...We did the necessary items needed at the computer lab for the Scence board... Out of nowhere, the idea of combining our work with the other group came. Maybe it was because we did not have enough information, MAYBE... that is just dissapointing... now i am completely BLANK... oh yeah... we took our HEIGHT AND WEIGHT that day...

My weekends were HORRIBLE... I was sick the whole weekend.
9 Jan 2010,Saturday- I got sick once I woke up. i felt really ,really HOT... not hot like , you know what I mean... hehe. I told my mother about my condition. I had a high fever. Later on that day, I went to the doctor's and soon got to know that I had stomach flu. That day, I only ate ,like, a meal.
10 Jan 2010, Sunday - I felt BETTER that day ,so my family went out. We went for a movie. We decided to watch Avatar as a lot of people said was good, I would agree with them. So, to those who have not watched Avatar, you should. The theater was very cold and I was shivering. Maybe experiencing snow is not all that good after all... 'maybe'. After the movie, I felt EXTREMELY HOT , I did not know why. I thought that i should actually be feeling cold... awkward...

Hi! My name is Dinah and this is my first blog entry. I didn't know much about this blog until I explored it myself, so i took a long time memorising the icons and what so ever.
Monday, 4 January 2010- My first day in school as being the "oldest" among the school was great . On that day itself i got to know my form teacher and Art and Craft teacher, Mdm Yeo, Mother Tongue teacher, Mdm Noor and Social Studies teacher, Mr Oh. On that day, I had to introduce myself to my form class and Mdm Yeo. I talked about my hobbies, my resolution, favourite subject and my family.
Tuesday, 5 January 2010- My second day of school was kind of fun. The first and second period was when i met my P.E. and Music teacher which is Mr Simon Tan and Mrs Siat. Then, I had my Mathematics class with Mdm Sng. I had ever met her but never really been taught by her. Throughout the day was rather the average kind of school day.
Wednesday,6 January 2010, today - My third day of school for the year was kind of a normal school day, i would say. I met my Science teacher, Mr Chua . We went to the computer lab after recess and Mdm Yeo taught us how to make a blog and that was when i started this blog.
The only teacher i have not met is my Health Education teacher , Mdm Sabiah, and hope to see her soon.
